Clinical, Research and/or Teaching Responsibilities
Dr. McDermott practiced primary care pediatrics for 20 years at HealthPoint in Redmond, during which time she also taught medical students from A.T. Still School of Medicine and supervised family practice residents from Swedish. She was involved in establishing a robust integrated behavioral health program at HealthPoint and has taught "Integrated Behavioral Health in Pediatrics" to students at Arizona State University in the Doctorate of Behavioral Health program. She has special interest and experience in the evaluation and management of behavioral health problems in children and adolescents. She is now practicing primary care pediatrics at NeighborCare in Columbia City and supervising residents from Children's Hospital/ University of Washington in their continuity clinic.
