Professional Bio

Clinical interests: Family‐centered, equitable, care for neonates. Promotion of high‐value, evidenced‐ based care, including optimization of lab draws and radiology studies. Clinical interests include neonates born to COVID‐positive mothers, management of neonatal abstinence syndrome and trauma‐informed care, use of CPAP in the community‐setting.

Scholarly interests: Educational interventions to improve clinical care, team work, and communication among multi‐disciplinary team, with focus on the community setting. Ongoing involvement with the Neonatal Education and Simulation‐Based Training Program (NEST).

Delivery of timely and relevant Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion curriculum. Promoting wellness practices among faculty.

Administrative/Education Roles: Member of UW Medical Education Research Certificate Program. Teaching responsibilities include pediatric residents in the SCH NICU and nurses at St. Anne Hospital. Lead mock codes and skills teaching for nurses at St. Anne Hospital. Lecturer for pediatric resident NICU education series.
