Administration/Education Roles: Locally, Dr. Sawyer is the Director of Medical Simulation at Seattle Children's Hospital, Associate Vice Chair for Regional Medicine, Department of Pediatrics, and the Director of Outreach Education for the UW Neonatal Education and Simulation‐based Training (NEST) Program. Nationally and internationally, Dr. Sawyer is the Founder and Chair of the American Academy of Pediatrics Section on Simulation and Innovative Learning Methods, Executive Committee Member of the International Pediatric Simulation Society, a member of International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR) Neonatal Delegation, and a member of the Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Steering Committee.
