The Firearm Injury and Policy Research Program took part of the 2024 National Conference with the Research Society for the Prevention of Firearm-Related Harms in Seattle.

A recent study led by Dr. Greg Valentine, an associate professor of pediatrics at the UW School of Medicine, has uncovered some promising findings regarding maternal health. His team discovered that chewing xylitol gum during pregnancy can significantly impact outcomes for both mothers and babies.
