Clinical Interests: Care and stabilization of the critically ill neonate, infant cue‐based oral feeding development, and improving care and outcomes in preterm infants through evidence‐ and quality‐based practices.
Scholarly Focus: Quality improvement work. Current quality projects include implementing oral feeding development pathways and increasing safety awareness at St Joseph Medical Center, protocol development for the Tiny Baby Initiative at the University of Washington Medical Center, and the division‐wide focus on pneumothorax reduction.
Administration/Education Roles: Serves as the Associate Medical Director at St Joseph Medical Center Level III NICU. Teaches medical students, residents and fellows at University of Washington Medical Center and residents, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants at St Joseph Medical Center. Works collaboratively with the APP teams at UWMC and SJMC.
